Monthly Workshops
DEEP offers monthly workshops open to faculty, graduate students and staff. Past workshops have covered transparent teaching, culturally responsive teaching, and reflective teaching.
Equity-Minded Communities of Practice
These CoP workshops will be offered in June, July and January to stimulate intentional practical change, establish new themes or ideas, and create new course lectures or materials that reflect inclusive content.
With our CoPs, DEEP will implement education innovations, conduct research, and publish and present results. Facilitators and participants will:
EDUCATE
- Learn, think and share self-awareness, empathy, social identities and bias with others.
EQUIP
- Apply and implement lesson examples and strategies in their own courses.
ENGAGE
- Join a Community of Practice to conduct theme studies of common purpose.
- Create new DEI instructional examples.
EMPOWER
- In a Community of Practice, implement education innovations, conduct research, and publish and present results.
