Dr. Efe's research focuses on addressing emerging engineering and societal issues associated with civil infrastructure system. It is inherently multi-disciplinary and aims to advance reliability and resilience of infrastructure systems with the goal of promoting the disaster resilience of essential civil infrastructure systems and communities vulnerable to growing multi-hazard risks due to climate change and aging infrastructure. Dr. Efe teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in methods of structural analysis, structural mechanics, and advanced finite element methods. He holds a Doctorate, Masters and Bachelors degree from Morgan State University and University of Ibadan respectively.
